Issue/Introduction

Does the Clarity app-access log contain the user IP address, collected when they connect to Clarity?

All Supported Clarity Releases

Resolution

• App-access will simply log the IP that connected to the Clarity server, which may have been acting on behalf of a client
• Whether or not the IP will be the user workstation IP would depend on the network configuration.
• It could be proxy, NAT, or VPN - it depends on a case by case basis as to how the client connects to the network and then the server
