  • The Site Recovery Manager (SRM) UI appears unresponsive or partially loaded.

  • The "Reconfigure" or "Reconnect" options in the SRM interface are greyed out, missing, or do not respond when clicked.

Environment

VMware Live Site Recovery 9.x

Cause

  • The issue is caused by corrupted or outdated browser cache and cookies related to the SRM or vCenter web interface. This cached data prevents the SRM UI from loading the latest configuration and disables certain UI functions like "Reconnect" or "Reconfigure."

Resolution

  • The steps to clear the cache may differ depending on the browser you are using -

    eg:

For Google Chrome users:

      1. Click the three-dot menu > More tools > Clear browsing data.

      2. Select "Cookies and other site data" and "Cached images and files."

      3. Click "Clear data."

      4. Close all Chrome windows and restart the browser.

  • If the issue persists, try accessing the SRM UI in a different browser or use a private/incognito browsing session.
