Issue/Introduction

You want to install SIEM agent on your Aria Operations for Logs appliances. The purpose is for monitoring the Aria Operations for Logs by our universal SIEM solution.

Aria Operations 8.x

 

 

Resolution

We do not advice installing SIEM or any 3rd party agents on VMware products. This is not a recommended practice.

Please refer to section '2.2.3 Support Exclusions'  of  Broadcom® Software Broadcom Maintenance Policy Handbook which states that:

• Support excluded for any third-party products not provided by Broadcom, including but not limited to, installation, configuration and maintenance of third-party products and interoperability of Broadcom offerings with third-party applications, or other services.
