Issue/Introduction

When performing vMotion, you see the compatibility warning:

• vMotion is allowed to proceed and no error is observed with the migration itself.

Environment

VMware vCenter Server

Cause

This warning may occur if vMotion is enabled on multiple vmkernel adapter interfaces with different MTU values.

Resolution

Keep the vMotion interfaces on a dedicated vMotion network.
