vRealize Suite 8.0 License import Failure in vRealize Log Insight (Aria Operations for Logs)

Issue/Introduction

VMware vRealize Suite Enterprise 8.0 for Cloud Foundation license key imports successfully into vRealize Operations (now VMware Aria Operations), but fails to apply to VMware vRealize Log Insight. (now VMware Aria Operations for Logs)

Environment

vRealize Log Insight (now Aria Operations for Logs) 8.0 

Cause

vRealize Log Insight 8.0 is not supported with vRealize Suite Enterprise 8.0 license key.

Resolution

With VCF or VVF, user receives the license key of Aria Suite 8.14. This license key will activate 8.16 and later versions.

If the user is running lower versions, then the license key can be downgraded to Aria Suite 8.10 for Cloud Foundation and then further to vRealize suite 8.0 for VCF

• Upgrading the vRealize Log Insight to 8.4 or later will allow vRealize Suite Enterprise 8.0 for Cloud Foundation license key to be applied.
• If the vRealize Log insight is upgraded to 8.12, vRealize Suite 8.10 for Cloud Foundation will activate it.
• If the Aria Operations for Logs is upgraded to 8.16 or 8.18, then Aria Suite 8.14 for Cloud Foundation key will activate it
