Status code 403 while trying to connect from Jaspersoft Studio

Issue/Introduction

Jaspersoft Studio is being used to connect to Jaspersoft Server. This results in an error pop-up with the following message:

Reason: Status Code 403, reason phrase: 403 Message: Forbidden.

Cause

The user being used to connect is not created directly in Advanced Reporting.

Resolution

Create a dedicated account in Advanced Reporting > Manage > Users page, to connect from Jaspersoft Studio.
