When creating a VMware vSphere virtual machine, there is no option to select Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 guest operating system.
This issue is observed on virtual machines with virtual hardware versions 19, 20 and 21.
VMware ESXi 7.0.3
VMware ESXi 8.0.x
Virtual hardware version 22 introduced new selections for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.
On VCF 9.0 and later, selecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10 as the Guest OS Option is possible as the option to select/upgrade is available on the virtual hardware version 22 or later.
On vSphere 7.0.3, the only option is selecting Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 as the Guest OS (Refer to KB - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 Virtual Machine with EFI firmware is incorrectly configured during the Virtual Machine creation)
In all other cases, select Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 as the Guest OS Option instead.
