Issue/Introduction

Does Scheduler support IBM control block ASVT (Address Space Vector Table) allocated above the 16MB line (31 bit address)? 

This option is specified in the DIAGxx member of SYS1.PARMLIB as follows:

     CBLOC VIRTUAL31(IHAASVT)

Resolution

Scheduler supports RMODE 31 for the ASVT and requires  PTF LU14117  

 

Additional Information

Placing the ASVT control block above the 16 MB line is generally seen after upgrading to z/OS 3.1.  

If PTF LU14117 is not applied, the following Scheduler problem occurs:
