Issue/Introduction

In Advanced Reporting, when using FTE on any report or ad-hoc, any periods other than monthly, will show the sum of the periods instead of the correct FTE for the period being used.

The FTE will be the FTE for one period multiplied by the number of periods, instead of dividing the total period demand by the total availability.

For instance if you use period = Quarter and each month = 1 FTE, the quarter will show 3 FTE instead of 1.

If you total the year, the total will show 12 instead of 1.

Resolution

In order to show the correct FTE for a period other than monthly, a calculated measure can be created.

This example is for Allocation hours for Fiscal Periods

It uses the hours and divides the allocation by the availability.

That calculated measure's formula is  "Allocated Hours2" / "Available Hours2"

Note that Allocation Hours2 and Available Hours 2 are for the fiscal period allocation hours.

Then no matter what type of period you use, the FTE will be correct.

Note that the new Reporting Module within Clarity MUX does calculate correctly as it uses the same Unit of Measure settings as the rest of MUX.
