Issue/Introduction

You are expecting the fields ELEMENT and TYPE to be shown below SUBSYSTEM in the FROM LOCATION: field entry area on the Display Elements/Component Lists, but ELEMENT and TYPE are listed above the FROM LOCATION: Section. 

Cause

On the ENDICNFG table there is a field (UI_OPT_ELEMENT) that was introduced to allow for long name elements. Selecting 'L' for the option will move the ELEMENT and TYPE fields on the panel before the FROM LOCATION: to allow for more space for long named elements. 

The L option layout enables users to enter mixed-case long-named Element names.

The S option layout is shorter and is for users who do not use long-named Elements and do not need USS file support.

Resolution

Update an individual's Profile  - To return ELEMENT and TYPE to the FROM LOCATION: section;

• Select 0 DEFAULTS 
• Update the file LAYOUT (L-LONG/S-SHORT)       ===> S

Update all Users - To return ELEMENT and TYPE to the FROM LOCATION: section;

• Update the Field UI_OPT_ELEMENT in the .CSIQSRC(ENDICNFG)
• Use sample JCL BC1JTABL to assemble and link ENDICNFG to your iprfx.iqual.CSIQAUTU

     *Note: If the users have access Endevor and established a profile, this setting will be documented in their profile and they will need to follow the steps using the 0 DEFAULTS panel.
