ASM2 Backup and Restore

Issue/Introduction

 Is ASM2 able to support  DS8886 DASD devices under the currently support z/OS operating systems?

Environment

Release:  ASM2-Backup and Restore 4.2
 

Resolution

Full support for DS8886 DASD exists as long as these devices always emulate 3390 type devices.  All supported z/OS operating systems are maintained.
