Issue/Introduction

• When using AZURE AD as identity source, configured using SAML, the user is getting this:

Error

Identity Manager encountered an error.
Contact your admin and provide the information displayed below.

Message

            federationArtifact.not.found  Federation Artifact not found.     

   

Environment

VMware Identity Manager / vIDM 3.3.7

Cause

Name ID from Azure shows incorrect format.

Resolution

• Change the configuration on Azure via Attribute & Claims:

On Required Claim/ Claim name/ Unique User identifier (Name Id) select "Multiple conditions [nameid-format:emailAddress]"
