Manually upgrading Grafana in Insights

Issue/Introduction

Because Insights is end of life, it is no longer included in the ConnectALL installer.

Therefore, if an older version of Grafana is installed due to not upgrading, it is possible that Grafana may be out of date and may fail security scans.

The latest version of Grafana bundled with Insights is version 10.  Since Grafana is no longer included and is end of life, further support from Broadcom may not be available.

Resolution

1. Log into your ConnectALL environment
2. Stop the Insights service
3. Back up the following directories:

   <connectall_home>/ConnectALL_Insights_Analytics/bin
   <connectall_home>/ConnectALL_Insights_Analytics/public

4. Download the files attached to this article
5. Unpack the two files to <connectall_home>/ConnectALL_Insights_Analytics/
6. Start the Insights service
