Upgrading Aria Operations from version 8.14 or earlier to 8.16 or later fails with ERROR: "FailedThe PAK action "new_validate" script "source ./pak_python_wrapper.sh validate.py" failed"

Issue/Introduction

When upgrading Aria Operations from version 8.14 (or earlier) to 8.16 (or later), the process fails with the following error:

"FailedThe PAK action "new_validate" script "source ./pak_python_wrapper.sh validate.py" failed"

 

The environment contains Remote Collector(s) or Cloud Proxy instance(s) of type Remote Collector.

Environment

Aria Operations version 8.14 or earlier

Cause

From version 8.16 onwards, Remote Collectors and Lite Cloud Proxies (converted Remote Collectors with restricted features) are no longer supported.

Resolution

Upgrading to version 8.16 or later requires mandatory redeployment of all Remote Collectors / Lite Cloud Proxies with new Cloud Proxy.
