Issue/Introduction

  • After successfully migrating an edge node from one ESXi host to another, the NSX-T UI continues to show the old host location. The migration was successful at the vSphere level, but changes are not being reflected in the NSX management interface.

Transport Node that an Edge node is deployed is not updating after migration to another Transport Node

  • On NSX UI ==> System ==> Fabric ==> Nodes, the "Host" column for the edge nodes may shows a different ESXi host than the one the edge node is currently running on when checked from the vCenter.

  • The "Host" column populates only if and when the edge node is running on an NSX prepared host.

Environment

Resolution

From NSX UI ==> System ==> Fabric ==> Nodes, select the affected edge node, click on the Settings icon and perform "Sync Edge Configuration".
