Issue/Introduction

The Directory Referral Checker checks that referrals on the LDAP server can be followed. A tab is shown for each synchronization type and under each of these there is another tab for each LDAP source. Starting at the configured search base for each source, it searches for and follows referrals. The process is repeated for each referral until the search is complete or an error occurs.

Resolution

To use the Directory Referral Checker:

1. Select a configuration profile from the Configuration drop-down list
2. Select View > Directory Referral Checker

 

     3. Click Start. Each LDAP source for each synchronization type is checked in turn

     4. Examine the output under each tab to see if there are any problems

 

Note : When a referral is found, the information provided by the directory is displayed in the table, with an icon showing the current status:
