Error: Predictive failure reported for Disk 2 in Backplane 1 of Integrated RAID Controller 1

Issue/Introduction

This error appeared in the iDRAC interface on a Security Analytics appliance.  

Environment

Dell R640xl

Cause

A predictive failure is similar to an impending failure and means that there was a threshold that was reached, causing the warning.  The drive has not failed yet, but it could possibly fail soon.

Resolution
