Multiple Aria Operations alerts after vCenter patching

Issue/Introduction

You can see multiple alerts vCenter related alert triggering after vCenter server patching.

Cause

Some suppressed alerts based on valid conditions can trigger once again after vCenter reboot.

Resolution

Always check source of the alert, depending on whether the alert is Event or Metric based .

• Metric based - Check the definition for the triggered alert and validate that the metrics on the object that the caused the alert to trigger are correct.
• Event based - Find the event in vCenter and confirm that the alert has actually been cancelled in the vCenter.

Almost all alerts that trigger after upgrade are based on valid triggers.
