Issue/Introduction

Hosts from the Host Summary view report traffic volume inconsistent with the selected interface speed. In the example below, the speed of the link is 128 Kbps and the time period of the report is 24 hours. An interface with 128 Kbps of data transfer can transfer approximately a maximum of 1.38 GBytes of traffic volume ( (128000/8)*60*60*24 ).

Environment

RA 9.0.161 only.

Resolution

This issue occurs when data from disabled and unlicensed interfaces is being loaded into other enabled and licensed agents. That is, an interface that says Enabled: No on the enable interfaces page, and has never been added to the various agents tables in the past either (thus using a license). This is due to Defect 26345 with RA 9.0.161. To resolve this issue, please follow the steps below:

  1. Download the following ZIP file onto the RA master console or standalone server:
    https://ftp.broadcom.com/user/downloads/pub/netqos/product_patches/RA/9.0/26345/pump2.zip

  2. Stop the NetQoS ReporterAnalyzer Pump service on the RA master console or standalone server.

  3. Back up the entire folder D:\netqos\reporter\NetQoS.ReporterAnalyzer.PumpService\bin to another location.

  4. Extract the files in the ZIP to D:\netqos\reporter\NetQoS.ReporterAnalyzer.PumpService\bin, overwriting the current files.

  5. Start the NetQoS ReporterAnalyzer Pump service again.

Additional Information

Note that RA 9.0 is no longer supported we recommend upgrading to a supported release as soon as possible.
