SYSVIEW Performance Management Option for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

Is it possible for each user to have their own Sysview Performance Monitor for Db2 for z/OS (IDB2) profile
data set so external security update authority is not required to the single profile data set by each user?

Resolution

The IDB2 profile data set is typically a global profile:

* Every user must have authority (through their user ID or a group ID) to update the Sysview for DB2 user profile data set.

The PROFILE data set is allocated to the TSO session via the INSIGHT clist INSPROF DD.

For example see CLIST member:
hlq.CDBACLS0(INSIGHT)

FREE FI(INSPROF)
ALLOC DDNAME(INSPROF) DA('hlq.IDB2.PROFILE') SHR

One suggestion would be to try the following with each user having their own allocated PROFILE data set:
ALLOC DDNAME(INSPROF) DA('&SYSUID..IDB2.PROFILE') SHR
