Issue/Introduction

Unable to access vSAN Datastore on a 2 node vSAN ROBO Cluster.

Folder creation in vSAN Datastore fails with error "Cannot complete file creation operation. There are currently 0 usable fault domains. The operation requires 3 more usable fault domains. Failed to create object."

Cause

Found a Stale witness entry in the vSAN Cluster 

from the VCenter logs I can see that the witness node was partitioned but there is another witness node which is in the cluster

virtual  witness ESXi host was added to the vSAN Cluster by mistake
        

Resolution

Remove the virtual  witness ESXi host  from the cluster by following steps in the Resolution section of the KB Unable to add Witness node to vSAN stretch cluster with error "The witness host must not be part of a vSAN enabled cluster"
