EOS version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012 in TDM Datamaker

Issue/Introduction

According to our company policy, 2010 and 2012 versions of Microsoft Visual C++ components are not supported.
 
Are there any new versions of Datamaker which includes 2015 or later versios of Microsoft Visual C++ components instead of 2010 and 2012?

Cause

Datamaker uses a library from MS Visual C++ 2012

Resolution

Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012 will be updated in future release of Datamaker.

Follow the steps below to manually update Datamaker for running without "Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2012".

How to make DataMaker work without having VC 2012 installed:

1. Search for the file msvcr110.dll inside C:\Windows\SysWOW64 directory.

2. Copy this file somewhere - I suggest creating directory named "x86" inside DM installation directory(C:\Program Files (x86)\Grid-Tools\GTDatamaker) and put it there, but the location is not really important. Note that there will be another file with the same name inside C:\Program Files (x86)\Grid-Tools\GTDatamaker so be careful not to replace the existing file.

3. Uninstall VC 2012 redistributable component.

4. !IMPORTANT! Add the directory where the file from Step1 was copied to system path (to PATH environment variable).
