while login to Aria Automation Config with Single Sign-On spordadically getting Error "502 Bad Gateway" on Azure Gateway, after upgrading RaaS to version 8.17

Issue/Introduction

Symptoms:

• while attempting to login via Single Sign-On the login can sporadically fail with Error "502 Bad Gateway"

Configuration:

• using a standalone RaaS node configured with Azure Gateway

Environment

Aria Automation Config 8.17

Cause

 A depending library used for SAML authentication was updated with RaaS version 8.17. An issue has been found where this library can cause the webserver to crash while authenticating the SAML request.

Resolution

The issue is resolved with RaaS version 8.18.1.1
