Issue/Introduction

VMware Usage Meter appliance has no IP address

Cause

OVF network settings failed to apply on first boot of the VMware Usage Meter appliance

Resolution

Configure the network using the vami_config_net

1. Login to the console of the appliance using the vCenter Webclient
2. Use root and the password set during initial deployment to login
3. run command:

   /opt/vmware/share/vami/vami_config_net

4. Choose option 6
5. Set the IPv4 address (IPv6 is not supported)
6. Validate the new settings with option 0
7. Exit the tool with option 1
8. Try to access the FQDN / IP Address of the appliance https://vcloud_usage_meter_ip_address
