Issue/Introduction

emailgtw probe unable to send mail with office365 SMTP Server.
 
When using office365 email services, an alarm will be generated on sending the email by the emailgtw probe.
SMTP server(s) not responding: 550 5.7.60 SMTP; Client does not have permissions to send as this sender
 
When testing the SMTP setting, the test button result returns successfully (turns green) on the SMTP properties setting.

Office365

Cause

- The root cause was the delegation setting of the office365 side; this issue related to the fact that NT AUTHORITY\SELF is missing in the office365 exchange settings.

Resolution

Check the following setting on the office365:

1. Please click Exchange under Admin to access Exchange Admin Center.


2. Double click your mailbox, and then locate the mail delegation tab, please check if NT AUTHORITY\SELF is listed under Send As.
