Robot CONT02 Conflict and Probe Installation Issue

Issue/Introduction

We are experiencing an issue with robot CONT02 where:

1. The robot only comes online if we stop and restart the Nimbus subsystem on CONT01. It does not come up automatically while CONT01 is active.

2. Once the robot is online, installing probes such as systat, fetchmsg, and jobs appears to succeed, but the probes do not show up on the robot in the Infrastructure Manager.

Additional notes:

• IP addresses on both servers have been verified and are correct.

• There is no folder replication occurring for nimbus, so configuration files should remain isolated.

• CONT01 and CONT02 are not supposed to share any network resources.

We are requesting assistance to:

• Identify if this is a known issue with our DX UIM version.

• Understand the root cause behind the robot instability and probe visibility failure.

• Provide guidance on resolving the conflict and ensuring probe deployment is successful on CONT02.

Environment

• AS/400, iSeries 7.x
• DX UIM 23.4

Resolution

• Reinstall of robot resolved the issues.
