Unable to get "Current Queue Depth" for MQs

Issue/Introduction

Unable to get the details  Current Queue Depth for the list of MQs in APM metric tree.

 

Environment

• DX O2 SaaS
• DX O2 OnPrem
• DX APM Mainframe extension

Cause

This issue is related to a user permission issue, from the log:

USER( #### ) GROUP( #### ) NAME(####          
  ##.##.##.## CL(MQQUEUE )            
  INSUFFICIENT ACCESS AUTHORITY                               
  FROM QP%%.*.##.*                                
  ACCESS INTENT(UPDATE )  ACCESS ALLOWED(NONE   )      

For queues that are part of a sharing queue, for us to obtain the queue depth we put a message in the command queue which means it must be authorized to put a message in the command queue.

Resolution

Ensure the SYSVIEW started task and the APM user ID have permissions to the MQ SAF resources as described in

Techdocs - Sysview Performance Management
