Issue/Introduction

Login to Site Recovery Manager UI

Click on View Details and then then click on Protection Groups

Selection to "New Protection Group" will be greyed out.

Resolution

Workaround: 

  1. Add user/group with certain role in the vCenter.
  2. Login to SRM UI and confirm the user is not able to do permissions granted in the vCenter.
  3. Login to SRM UI using [email protected] account
  4. Click on "View Details" on the pair requiring custom permissions.
  5. Click on Permissions 
  6. Select the vCenter and verify the permissions added in vCenter for user/group are not showing. Add them in manually.
  7. Verify the permissions
