When increasing the size of an active\active LUN and then increase it at the datastore, the datastore goes into an "inaccessible" state

Issue/Introduction

After increasing the size of a datastore in vCenter the datastore goes inaccessible and needs to be remounted

Environment

VMware vSphere ESXi (All Versions)

Cause

The datastore is presented to hosts present in two vCenters connected in link mode, when the datastores are grown only the hosts in the vCenter that the grow was done from see the expansion.  This causes the hosts not not properly read the datastore size and unmount the datastore to prevent corruption.

Resolution

When growing a datastore ensure all hosts that are connected to the datastore are rescanned to see the change of size.
