Deployment of Avi LB via NSX-T fails with error as "AVI Controller VM configuration failed" and "Some error has occurred in service insertion module"

Issue/Introduction

Deployment of Avi LB fails with error as "AVI Controller VM configuration failed" and "Some error has occurred in service insertion module" .

The error on NSXT GUI is as below 

Below message is seen on nsxapi logs of NSX manager logs, 

xxxx-xx-xxTxx:xx:xx.xxxZ INFO ActivityWorkerPool-1-5 AlbControllerNodeConfiguration xxxxx POLICY [nsx@xxxx comp="nsx-manager" level="INFO" subcomp="manager"] [ALB Controller] Caught exception during user role creation: org.springframework.web.client.HttpClientErrorException$BadRequest: 400 Bad Request: "{"error":"Enum 'PERMISSION_PINGACCESSAGENT' was deprecated in 30.2.1 and is no longer supported"}"

Environment

NSXT : 4.2.1.3.0.24533884

Avi : 30.2.2

Resolution

This issue is fixed in Avi versions 22.1.7 , 30.2.3,  31.1.1

It is recommended to deploy or upgrade Avi controller VM to the above versions accordingly.

Additional Information

Ping access agent is deprecated and no longer supported.  Ref : RN Avi 30.2

• PingAcess Agent is no longer supported for client authentication in Virtual Services.
