Can UIM CDM probe capture cpu spikes?

Issue/Introduction

I need to be able to monitor a server for short 3 to 4 second cpu spikes where the cpu is hitting 99-100%. Is there a way to do this?

Cause

Resolution

The CDM probe defaults to checking the cpu every 5 minutes. It is not recommended to decrease this interval as it may cause performance issues and also will increase the data going into the database.
