Getting a 401 error when upgrading Virtual Network Assurance (VNA)

Issue/Introduction

When upgrading VNA, seeing the following error returned:

Deploying Plugins
Deploying Plugin: /app/CA/InstallCode/CA_VNA_Install/openstack-plugin-24.3.6-RELEASE.jar
<html><head><title>Error</title></head><body>Unauthorized</body></html>Error installing plugin: /app/CA/InstallCode/CA_VNA_Install/openstack-plugin-24.3.6-RELEASE.jar - 401. Please check the logs in /opt/CA/VNA/wildfly/standalone/log.
A problem occurred during installation (install directory not deleted). Backing up to /app/CA/InstallCode/CA_VNA_Install_bak

 

Environment

DX NetOps VNA all currently supported releases

Cause

A 401 error means it lacks valid authentication credentials.

Resolution

Check the inputs for the right password for the following install prompts:

Please enter the existing password for root@localhost account in MySQL>
Please re-enter the existing password for root@localhost account in MySQL>

or

Please enter the existing VNA UI password for admin user>
Please re-enter the existing VNA UI password for admin user>
