Issue/Introduction

The URL widget in Reports > Custom Views displays a broken page/image

Cause

The Rally URL Widget uses an iFrame. Some websites might not allow the display of their content within an iFrame for security reasons. Content may be blocked for the same-origin policy or protocol settings, even with the secure HTTPS protocol.

If you cannot view a website from the Rally URL Widget, or you get a connection refused error, it is likely because the administrator of the external website has likely set an X-Frame Options rule that prevents other websites from different domains from displaying their content in an iFrame.

 

 

Resolution

If your company has control over the website that you are trying to access, you can ask your administrator to adjust their X-Frame Options settings to ALLOW FROM your Rally host.
