How to restrict an ITAM role from creating assets
Environment
ITAM 17.x
Resolution
1. Create a new Asset configuration > check the "across all families" checkbox
2. Move "Create" from Granted Permissions to Denied Permissions
3. Save Configuration
4. Go to Administration > User/Role Management > Role Search > Click on the Role you want to restrict
5. Go to Role Configuration > Click on the "Select New" button and add the new configuration
6. Save Changes
7. Log in as the user with the modified role. The "New Asset" will be grayed out.
