VMware vCenter Server VMware vCenter Server 8.0

Issue/Introduction

Not able to login to virtual center with domain credentials.  

After 10 minutes the connection does complete.

Environment

vCenter 8.0

Cause

Domain authentication is taking a long time since the domain controller being authenticated against isn't specified.

Resolution

Pointing Primary server URL in Active Directory over LDAP identity source to domain controllers specifically instead of the domain.
