Issue/Introduction

Tanzu Mission Control (TMC) pods in a vSphere Supervisor workload cluster or guest cluster are failing to run and remain stuck in ContainerCreating or CrashLoopBackOff.

Environment

• vSphere with Tanzu 7.x
• vSphere with Tanzu 8.x
• Tanzu Mission Control

Cause

Containerd cannot start TMC pods without an available pause image on the affected node.
