Issue/Introduction

Creating a boot disk with a USB memory stick gets to the point of copying files to boot media and a message displays saying that the boot disk will be formatted, and then immediately it gets an "installation failed" error.  The USB device is in the operating system and can be formatted and written too and the device is listed in GSS as an available device to format.

Environment

GSS 3.3.x

Mac Parallels

Cause

CPU is an ARM processor which at this time is not compatible with GSS.

Resolution

Create an ISO and move it to a Windows based machine and then use a third-party tool such as Rufus to burn the ISO to the USB device.
