Telegraf Agents Fail to Update.

Issue/Introduction

Telegraf agent upgrade fails with the following error message.

 

Environment

VMware Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

The VM's MOID changed as a result of the VM migration, which automatically updated their identifiers which are not matching with the one in the salt-master keys and the update action is failing.

Resolution

1. When updating the Windows agent, verify that the folder is successfully created.
   Go to C:\VMware\UCP
   
   
2. If the folder is created Stop the below UCP services.
   Application Remote Collector Minion
   Application Remote Collector Salt Minion
   Application Remote Collector Telegraf
   
   
3. Go to C:\VMware\UCP delete the UCP folder.
   
   
4. Retry to update the Telegraf Agents.
