Using the Terraform provider for NSX, the following error is seen "error_message" : "Json de-serialization error: property xxxx is unrecognized."

• You may have recently upgraded VMware NSX. 
• You may see the following error when running the Terraform script 

"error_message" : "Json de-serialization error: property nat_pass is unrecognized."

Cause

This issue can be seen when using incompatible versions of VMware NSX and VMware NSX Terraform provider.

Resolution

Confirm that the parameter used is supported in the current version

Confirm that NSX Terraform provider version is compatible with the version of VMware NSX
