Download option is greyed out when downloading Media or Templates from the Cloud Director tenant portal

Issue/Introduction

• Users are unable to download templates and media files from the catalog.
• The Download option is greyed out when checked via the tenant portal.

• The Download option is available if the tenant is launched from the provider portal with System Administrator.

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

The "Enable vApp Template / Media Download" rights are absent from the user's specified role.

Resolution

Based on the role of the user, appropriate permissions must be granted to the Organization through the rights bundles available in the Provider portal.

Steps to resolve:

Login to the Provider Portal

• Navigate to Administration -> Tenant Access -> Rights Bundles.
• Identify the name of Rights bundle assigned to the Organization.
• Select the radio button next to the target bundle and click Edit.
• Under Libraries, expand Catalog Item.
• In the Manage section, enable the option "Enable vApp Template / Media Download" and save the changes.
  
  
  
  

Login to the tenant portal

• Navigate to Administration -> Access Control -> Roles.
• Click the role assigned to the user and verify the enabled permission "Enable vApp Template / Media Download" is now visible under the libraries section. 
  
  
  
  
• Navigate to Content Hub -> Content and verify you can download the Templates and the Media files from the catalog.
