Unable to add VIDM user group in NSX Failure Error: 'User/group cannot update itself. (Error code: 71030)'

Issue/Introduction

An error message appears when trying to add the vidm user group in NSX, despite the roles being defined.
Error: 'User/group cannot update itself. (Error code: 71030)'

Environment

VMware Identity Manager
VMware NSX 

Cause

NSX Manager has been logged in with the user account which was part of that VIDM user group, hence it had errored out reporting that "cannot update itself"

Resolution

 Login to the nsx manager using 'admin' credentials and to add the user group.
