NSX edge reports overall status of the edge transport node is down in the NSX Manager

Issue/Introduction

  • During the post-upgrade check in NSX Manager, the edge reports "Overall status of the edge transport node is DOWN" after the upgrading from SDDC Manager, as shown in the screenshot below.

 

  • Click on "Error(s)" to view the following message: Overall status of the Edge Transport Node <UUID> is DOWN.

Refer to the screenshot below:

  • However, There are no issues observed with the Edge, as the node status is "Up" and all tunnels are operational.

Resolution

1. Ensure there are no issues with the Edge node.

2. As a work around to resolve the issue perform the "Run Post Check" in the NSX Manager to synchronize the Edge node's status
