Another variant of the issue. SSL cert in VCSA recently replaced could potentially causing this issue with error “Unable to accept SSL certificate: null"

Environment

Aria Operations for Logs 8.x

Cause

vCenter Integration failed due to SSL Certificate issue.  vCenter SSL Certificate expired and renewed.

Resolution

  • Login to Aria Operations for Logs UI
  • Browse to Integration > vSphere
  • Edit the vCenter connection in question.
  • Perform a "Test Connection".
  • Click "Accept" to accept the new vCenter certificate.

By accepting the new vCenter certificate, the certificate is validated and added to the local Truststore.  The vCenter Integration is established, and data collection will resume.

The vCenter alert will no longer be triggering.
