Issue/Introduction

You are unable to deploy a new instance of Aria Operations 8.18.3 from OVA using the content library to store the OVF template. The initial deploy seems to go ok, but fails on firstboot.

In looking at the logs, the failure seems to be not enough space on the VM.

Environment

Aria Operations 8.x

Cause

Deploying through the content library is not a supported method to install the application. Also, do NOT install the OVA directly from an ESXi host.

Resolution

Deploy OVA directly from vCenter. Select a datacenter or cluster from the inventory panel then select Actions > Deploy OVF Template.
