VM deletes the advanced config file guestinfo.ovfEnv when powered on

Issue/Introduction

• When the VM is powered on the guestinfo.ovfEnv is automatically deleted

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.6.1

Cause

• The API is adding additional extra config like
  "guestinfo.vcd.vm.storagepolicy.uuid" - value = "urn:vcloud:vdcstorageProfile:##############
"guestinfo.vcd.vm.storagepolicy.name" - value = "Intermediate"
"guestinfo.vcd.orgvdc.name" - value = "<Org VDC Name>"
• VMware Cloud Director (VCD) /vCenter API is removing the configs that have no value or an empty value.
  
  

Resolution

Workaround:

• Extra config files need to be added after the guest customization(cloud-init) has completed
• This is a known issue and will be resolved in a future release
