Issue/Introduction

Found discrepancy in Heuristic Software report when we compare it with Programs and Features (add/remove programs) in control panel. 

Environment

CA Client Automation - All supported versions. 

Resolution

We found the items which are uninstalled and still showing up in reports are also present in the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\

ITCM will look into the above registry location and if a software listing is present in the above location then it treats it as installed.

This is by product design. Please work with the respective software vendor to investigate why the entry from the registry is not removed.
