Issue/Introduction

See the following error when Zowe is starting on our Test LPAR and can't access Zowe Desktop:

ZWED0158E - Could not listen on address 0.0.0.0:7556. Insufficient permissions to perform port bind

Environment

Resolution

Please verify these items:

1. Make sure that you are not binding the jobname ZWESLSTC but using the job prefix.
2. Recommend granting user ZWESVUSR access to read the facility BPX.JOBNAME.
3. ZWESLSTC task needs access to port <number> in order for the App-Server to start.

Additional Information

It is recommended when migrating from Zowe v2.15.0 or a lower version, ensure that Zowe configurations using keyrings do not have the section zowe.certificate.pem. This section is no longer needed and can cause startup error in newer versions of Zowe (reference link).
