Issue/Introduction

  • After a TKGS Namespace is deleted, certain LoadBalancer services may not be properly cleaned up by the system.
  • It is not possible to re- deploy a new Namespace using the same LoadBalancer service with same IP address, as the system indicates that the IP is already allocated.

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.x
VMware NSX 4.x

Cause

When attempting to remove the Namespace, NSX is unable to complete the deletion of the load balancing services because the DFW rules were manually created using groups that were automatically generated by Tanzu.

Resolution

Remove the related DFW rules, and NSX Manager will complete the deletion of all LB services associated with the removed Namespace.

Additional Information

The DFW rules it should be created by Tanzu from the NameSpace  "Network Policies"
