Ongoing error in Skyline Health > Network > vSAN: MTU check (ping with large packet size)
This article also applies to ping with small packet size

Received bandwidth is a fraction of expected bandwidth for one or more hosts, under vSAN cluster > Monitor > vSAN > Proactive Tests > Network Performance Test

Environment

VMware vSAN 7.0
VMware vSAN 8.0

Cause

This Alert is triggered when > 30 percent packet loss while pinging with small/large packets.
The alert may trigger with mis-configured MTU settings in the vSAN network in the datacenter.
Malfunctioning hardware like SFP, physical switch port, cables can also result packet loss.

Resolution
