Issue/Introduction

Several IX and NE nodes were removed from inventory due to a storage issue. Files for the VM's are still present and have been re-registered to VC inventory and powered on. The HA configuration is still in an undecided state.

Cause

Whenever a VM is re-registered, the VM-ID changes. HCX keeps track and manages the appliances via the VM-ID and due to the ID changing it is unable to re-configure the VM HA state.

Resolution

If any HCX appliance has been re-registered then un-register the VM and perform a redeploy from the "HA Management" section of source HCX-MGR UI.
